Our Adventure 2 camper has been around for a while as a comfortable 2 berth camper with a fixed double bed, ‘L shape’ seating, fully functioning kitchen, bathroom and plenty of garage storage space.
Jon and Nicky loved our Adventure 2 camper layout but they wanted more…. much more! They wanted to be able to use their van off the beaten track, up on snowy ski resorts and be self-sufficient off grid whilst maintaining a high standard of aesthetic and practical quality. They ordered a special order LWB Mercedes Sprinter 4×4 3.0v6 with many extras and we set to at DJI building this amazing machine, now named ‘Maximus’.
It is very much a bespoke limited edition of our Adventure 2 which included many cosmetic, electronic and practical luxuries to give that ’home from home’ ambience. Not least, Jon and Nicky wanted us to build their camper without LPG. So heating, hot water and cooking is via diesel and electricity through a huge and complex Victron electrical system .
